I'm looking at grpc code, and their android java and other language code can share proto files.

https://github.com/grpc/grpc-java/blob/master/examples/android/routeguide/app/src/main/proto/route_guide.proto

https://github.com/grpc/grpc/blob/master/examples/protos/route_guide.proto

android has this deep directory structure but others don't.

What's the convention here? Should I put the shared proto files in android/routeguide/app/src/main/proto/ and refer them from elsewhere? e.g., examples/cpp/code.cc?

Any documentation for organizing code in multiple languages?

Thank you!
